As we write these little wry biographies of the great and good for each esteemed author, we wonder to ourselves - will it make any difference? It's a good question. And one addressed better by Camus than anyone else. And before we sink too far into existential angst, let us remember that Camus considered himself to be an absurdist, which we like to think is a bit like existentialism, but with a sense of humour.
