What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper

'Balletomane's Album' has pictures solely of Sadler's Wells and the Russian Ballet at the start of the twentieth century.  'The Balletomane's Scrap-book is a vivid story of the grounding of ballet.

In the publisher's original binding, with original dustwrappers.

From the library of Joan Hewson, the Renowned Cecchetti School of Dance Instructor. Joan left a legacy of numerous successful professional dancers from across the world.

Scarce to have both volumes together.

Written by Arnold L Haskell, an important figure in Balletomania, and was largely responsible for the popularity of ballet during the 1920s.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth bindings, with original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, very smart with just light shelfwear to the extremities. A few light spots to boards, minor tidemark to the bottom of front board to 'Scrap-Book'. Dustwrappers are chipped to the extremities, with several closed tears to the head and tail of joints. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. Scattered spots to the endpapers, otherwise just the odd spot.
