What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper
Illustrated throughout, with 109 plates and frontispiece by George Sheringham and R Boyd Morrison. The ethos behind this text was to 'bring to light unknown artists' and to enable them to have a chance of success hitherto denied them.
It publicly recognises the vision and work of costume designs from a variety of performances.
The text has divided costume into eight sections, 'Fantasy in Costume', 'Historic or Period Costume', 'Irish Dramatic Costume', 'Costume', 'Costume At The Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith', 'Revue', 'Costume for Ballet' and 'The Artist in The Dressing Room'. In original blue cloth binding with gilt stamping to the spine and front board.
With the very scarce original dustwrapper.
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, very smart with light bumping to the head and tail of spine as well as to the extremities. Dustwrapper is chipping to the extremities, with a closed tear to the rear joint and tape repair to the internal of front joint. Several light spots and tidemarks to the head and tail of wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots, heavier to the first and last few pages.
