This set comprises the sixth and seventeenth issues of the work.
The seventeenth issue, from 1963 retains the original dustwrapper. The sixth issue is lacking its dustwrapper.
Both volumes are illustrated throughout.
From the library of Joan Hewson, the Renowned Cecchetti School of Dance Instructor. Joan left a legacy of numerous successful professional dancers from across the world. She was greatly appreciated by her students, as is evident from the many gifts that form her library. Loosely inserted are several newspaper clippings referring to the ballets cited in these volumes.
With essays by experts in the field on a variety of aspects of ballet. Including design, performance, music, and touring.
Condition
In the publisher's original cloth bindings. No 17 retains its dustwrapper. Externally, both volumes are smart. No.6 is faded slightly to the spine and has a few marks to the boards. Dustwrapper is in excellent condition. Just some minor sunning internally. Front hinge to no.6 is strained but firm. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the occasional light spots.
