Condition

Rebound in a quarter morocco binding with the original publisher's cloth boards restored. Externally, generally smart. Some light marks to the boards and spines, a little heavier to the rear boards and to the leather. A little bumping to the extremities. Front hinge of Volume I is starting but firm. Loss to the rear pastedown of Volume II. Illustrations tipped onto the front pastedown of Volume I. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot. The prior owner has pasted and tipped in additional plates and illustrations from other works, resulting in some pages being a little wrinkled but not damaged.
