The first UK edition. Collated complete with sixteen pages of monochrome plates. Lacking the very scarce original dustwrapper as is common with this work. Anthony Fokker was a Dutch aviation pioneer and aircraft manufacturer. He is perhaps best known for the fighter aircraft he produced in Germany during World War One. These include the Eindecker monoplanes, the Dr. 1 tripland the D. VIII biplane. This fascinating autobiographical work documents his life as a producer of aircraft, within the setting of inter war Germany. A fascinating first edition copy of the autobiography of an influential Dutch aviator.

Condition

In the original blue cloth binding. Externally very smart with just slight bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine. Slightly cocked. Slight fading to the spine. Marks to the rear board. Offsetting to endpapers. Ink signature to front pastedown. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with just marginal age toning.
