Description

Colour Plates, Folding Maps, Folding Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding

The 'RUSI Journal', the leading journal on defence and security, was first produced in 1857 with the aim to publish ‘articles, whether original, compiled, or translated, which seem likely to be of interest to the Service at large, and are of sufficient importance to be worthy of insertion in its limited pages’, in the words of the later editor, Colonel Bowlder. Deemed as the most important military periodical in Victorian Britain, the journal has enjoyed a long and fruitful publication history and is currently published six times a year. Each issue contains: - ten to twelve timely and policy-relevant articles on contemporary defence and security matters - two to four scholarly studies on military history subjects - book reviews and essays on film, art and media. This collection contains the following volumes: Volume LXVIII: February to November 1923 Volume LXIX: February to November 1924 Volume LXX: February to November 1925 Volume LXXI: February to November 1926 Volume LXXII: February to November 1927 Volume LXXIII: February to November 1928 Illustrated throughout with 33 folding plates, and forty-nine coloured and monochrome photographic plates (collated complete).
