What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Folding Maps, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Rebound, Very Scarce

The first edition of this work.

A very scarce work.

An interesting work discussing the problem and solutions of the water supplies in barracks and cantonments.

Illustrated with sixty-two folding plates, and some in-text illustrations.

Collated, bound without plate LX.

Written by George Kenneth Scott-Moncrieff, a Scottish soldier and engineer.

Condition

Rebacked, with the original publisher's cloth boards and spine restored. Externally, generally smart. Some marks to the boards and spine. Light fading to the spine. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with the odd mark. Additional leaves, presumably an erratta or from a later work, slipped in to some pages. Prior owner's ink annotations to some pages, notes on the text. Some edgewear to the folding plates.
