The first thus, edition of this work. This work is number 458 of 2500 copies printed to commemorate the opening of the Reading branch of Waterstones on November 15 1995. With the limitation statement to the start of the work. Rushdie's novel won the Whitbread Prize for 'Best Novel' and the Aristeion Prize. It was also short-listed for the Booker Prize. It traces four generations of the narrator's family and is set in Bombay and Cochin. Drawing on a variety of real historical figures and events, this book focuses on Moraes Zogoiby's relationships with the women in his life. A smart, bright copy of this work.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with just some light bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
