The novel follows Stafford Nye, a middle aged diplomat, as he steps into the world of spies and secret agents. Agatha Christie is one of the most prolific and successful detective writers of her time, writing sixty-six detective novels in total. She is best known for her protagonists Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.

In the original publisher's cloth binding with the original price-clipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light bump to the head of the rear joint. Dustwapper has a closed tear to the head of the rear joint. Very light marking to the wraps and spine and light edgewear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
