The first edition of this work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper. The dustwrapper was printed on the reverse of another book's dustwrapper, due to paper shortages during the war. 'The Wide Net' is a selection of entertaining short stories, containing 'First Love', 'A Still Moment', 'Asphodel', 'The Purple Hat', and more. This was the author's second collection of short stories. Written by Eudora Welty, an American novelist known for her works about the American South. She is best known for her Pulitzer Prize winning novel 'The Optimist's Daughter'.
Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, near fine, with a very small amount of bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Dustwrapper with light age-toning, heavier to the rear wrap, and some minor marks. A few spots to the reverse of the dustwrapper. Small closed tears to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
