What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, With Dustwrapper, With Slipcase
A first edition of this illustrated edition.
With the original dustwrapper and slipcase.
With many coloured lithographs by Marie Laurencin. Laurencin was a French painter and printmaker. She was an instrumental figure in the Parisian avant-garde as a member of the Cubists associated with the Section d'Or.
The dustwrapper is in an exquisite condition.
This work was intially printed in 1939, but the release was postponed until 1947 due to the outbreak of the Second World War.
Limited edition of 1200 numbered copies. This copy is unnumbered and therefore out of series.
This short story collection was first published in 1922. Mansfield was modernist in style, and was a friend of authors such as D.H Lawrence and Virginia Woolf.
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with unclipped dust wrapper and held in the original slipcase. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear. Dust wrapper is also in an excellent condition, with just some minor sunning to the spine, as is common with this work. Slipcase is slightly faded to the edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright. Just the occasional light spot to endpapers. Pages are otherwise clean.
