    With the original dustwrapper, in a bright condition.

    Dustwrapper is price-clipped. 

    Collated, complete with a frontispiece and eleven coloured plates. In addition there are seventeen in-text illustrations. 

    During the ‘Golden Age’ of British book illustration Rackham was one of its leading artists. He used expressive line paired with a subtle use of watercolour to create his beautiful images. 

    The first illustrated edition of this posthumously published compilation. 

    This is the first collection of Poe's works specifically restricting itself to his suspenseful and related tales. 

    Comprising many tales including 'The Imp of the Perverse', 'The Tell Tale Heart', 'Eleonora', 'Berenice', 'The Assignation', 'Morella', 'William Wilson' and 'The Purloined Letter'. 

    A very bright copy of this work by this important American author. A fantastic edition, with Rackham's striking illustrations complementing the writings beautifully.

    In a full cloth binding, with the publisher's original dustwrapper. Dustwrapper is price-clipped. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the extremities. Dustwrapper is very smart with minor chips to the head and tail of spine. Small chip to the head of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
