Jeter is best known for science fiction such as this, as well as his literary writing style, dark themes and often unsympathetic characters. He also wrote novels set in the Star Trek and Star Wars universes. The work is the fourth to follow the storyline of the critically acclaimed film Blade Runner based on the work 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' by Philip K. Dick. An excellent example of an influential sequel of science fiction writing.
