First Edition, Limited Edition, With Dustwrapper

Direct from the library of the late Hugh Selbourne MD (1906-1973) a noted book collector and diarist. In original paper wrap. Limited edition, number 994 of 1525 copies printed. A Stitch in Time is a poem that is a pastiche of Alexander Pope's The Rape of The Lock. It is set in modern times, and successfully captured public attention. This led to Laver's popularity. A sequel followed in 1929, Loves Progress. Both were then published together as Ladie's Mistakes in 1933.

Condition

In original marble covered boards and glassine wrap. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to extremities. Loss to top of glassine wrap at front board. Section is loosely inserted inside. Otherwise, wrap is very smart with minor bumping. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean.
