First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding, Signed

The first edition of this work.

Inscribed by the author to the recto to the front endpaper, 'For George, greetings, from Ted Hughes'. This is possibly George Worsley Adamson, who illustrated some of Hughes' works.

A collection of Ted Hughes' various poems written between the years 1957 to 1981.

Ted Hughes was one of the greatest poets of the twentieth century, known for being Poet Laureate for fourteen years, and for his ultimately unhappy marriage to Sylvia Plath.

Condition

In the original publisher's paper wraps. Externally, near fine, with fading to the spine and front wrap. A couple of minor marks to the wraps. Signed by the author to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
