First Edition, Very Scarce

Prior owner's inscription to the head of title page. 

Written by esteemed actor and playwright of the eighteenth century, David Garrick. 

A disbound copy of this play. 

With the dramatis personae to the verso of front endpaper. Garrick played the titular male character himself, with Mr Yates and Mr O'brien playing Sir Charles Clackit and Mr Clackit. The female roles of Miss Harriet and Lucy the maid are played by Miss Pritchard and Mrs Clive. 

Condition

Disbound. Externally, generally smart. Chips to the page edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spot.
