First Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition of his 'Scrap book' and 'Last Scrap Book' and therefore comprising two volumes of what was a three volume work (all works published separately).

These scrapbooks provide an insight into Saintsbury's political and social views. With chapters on Idealism, Byron, Lucretius, Exhibitions, and Liberalism.

In uniform cloth bindings.

Condition

In uniform cloth bindings. Externally, sound. Loss to the head of front joint to 'A Last Scrap Book'. A few light marks to boards. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper, Frank Bevan. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Just the odd spots.
