In the original published red silk cloth binding, four volumes in the original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, generally smart. Fading to the spines, and to the joints of some volumes. Some light marks to the boards and spines. Hinges of Volume I are strained but remain firm. Hinges of Volume VI are strained but remain firm. Hinges of Volume IX are starting but firm. Light spots to the fore edges. Fading to the front board of Volume III. Mark to the front board of Volume III. Mark to the rear board of Volume V. Mark to the rear board of Volume IX. Tidemarks to the boards of Volume XIV. A little fading to the front board of Volume XXVIII. Some marks to the top edges, heavier to Volume X. Dustwrappers with some marks and very minor edge wear. Internally, Volumes II, III, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII, XIV, XV, XVI, XVII, XIX, XX, XXI, XXII, XXIII, XXIV, XXV, XXVI, XXVII, XXVIII, XXIX, XXXI, XXXII, and XXXIII are firmly bound, whereas Volumes I, IV, V, XI, XVIII, XXX, and 'Departmental Ditties' are generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd scattered spot. Pages of Volume XV, XVI, XVII, XXIII, XXVI, XXIX, XXXVII uncut. Small tidemark to the last few pages of Volume XIV.
