'Further Incidents in the Life of a Mining Engineer' signed by the author to the reverse of the frontispiece, 'To Miss Gertrude Tofield, from the Author, with all the best wishes for the coming wedding, Edward T. McCarthy, May 15th 1933'.

'Incidents' is the second impression. 'Further Incidents' is the first edition, illustrated with a frontispiece. 

Two autobiographies by the mining engineer Edward Thomas McCarthy. 

McCarthy donated all proceeds from the sales of these two memoirs to the St. Dunstan's Home for Blinded Soliders.

Condition

In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Light fading to the spine and front joint of 'Incidents'. A few light marks to the boards and spines. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with some spots. Author's inscription to the half-title of 'Incidents', and to the reverse of the frontispiece of 'Further Incidents'. Small repaired closed tear to the tail of the preface of 'Incidents'.
