This is Roth's 30th novel. The second novel to this set 'Nemesis' is the 31st book by Roth. It is set in the summer of 1944 and explores the polio epidemic and how it affected a close-knit Newark community. 'Nemesis' was shortlisted for the 2011 Wellcome Trust Book Prize. The First U.K Edition of both novels. Roth is an award winning author, who regularly sets his fiction in his birthplace of Newark, New Jersey. He frequently blurred the distinction between reality and fiction for his provocative explorations of American Identity.

In the publisher's original cloth bindings. With original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, both volumes are very smart with little to no shelfwear. Dustwrappers are also very smart with just some minor bumping to the head and tail of spines. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
