What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, With Dustwrapper

The first edition of the work, stated as such on the edition page. In the original pictorial dustwrapper, depicting Woman With a Basket by Juan Gris. The Garden of Eden was Hemingway's ninth novel and one of a number of his works to be published posthumously. The novel is a fascinating example of the exploration of androgynous characters and the reversal of gender roles. The publication history is also of significant interest, in that it was significantly cut by the publisher, something which has caused much debate among biographers and Hemingway scholars.
