Description
First Edition, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of the work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper designed by Raymond Hawkey. Len Deighton was a British author, best known for his works of spy fiction, although he also wrote works of military history and cookery books. Only When I Larf is described as a comic thriller and describes the activities of three confidence tricksters, with the narrative split between first person narratives of the three protagonists.
Condition
In a purple cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear only. Slightly cocked. Dustwrapper is smart with creasing and the occasional closed tear to the reverse of the wrap, neatly repaired with tape. Chipping to the extremities. Offsetting to the reverse of the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with marginal age toning and spotting to the fore edge.
