What Our Customers Say...
First Edition, With Dustwrapper
The first edition of the work. In the original unclipped dustwrapper designed by Ann Forshaw. Forfeit tells the story of a horse-racing journalist and his realisation that his life is in danger following from the death of a colleague. Dick Francis was a renowned author of horse racing crime fiction, taking inspiration from his own time as a steeplechase jockey. Forfeit was the author's eighth novel and the only work to feature the main character James Tyrone.
In the publisher's red cloth binding in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally very same with slight shelf wear to the extremities. Slightly cocked. Slight fading to the spine. Ink inscription to front free endpaper. Dustwrapper is very smart with the occasional closed tear and chipping, heavier to the head and tail of the spine. Offsetting to the reverse of the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with marginal age toning due to paper used.
