A collection of three novels written by the Royal Navy author, Captain Frederick Marryat.

'The Phantom Ship', illustrated with a frontispiece.

'Japhet in Search of a Father', illustrated with a frontispiece.

Condition

In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. 'Pacha' and 'Phantom' are both lacking the author spine label. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Two of the spine labels are cracked. Rubbing to the boards and spines. A little loss of leather to 'Japhet'. Hinges of 'Pacha are strained but remain firm. Internally, 'Phantom' is firmly bound, 'Japhet' is generally firmly bound. Binding of 'Pacha' is a little strained in places, page 147-158 working loose. Pages are lightly age-toned and clean with just a couple of odd light spots. Page 31/32 of 'Japhet' is detached but present.
