    Description

    Illustrated, Leather Binding

    'Gil Blas' is an important French picaresque novel, originally serialised between 1715 and 1735.

    Illustrated with a frontispiece, vignette title page, and in-text illustrations.

    Written by Alain-Rene Lesage.

    Illustrated by Jean Gigoux.

    Condition

    In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Light rubbing to the boards. Spine is a little faded. Small crack to the head of the front joint. Minor bumping to the extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with a few light spots.
