What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Scarce

A very scarce religious text from the Society of Jesus, the Catholic religious order known as Jesuits. The work discusses the three curses of the fisherman, the necessary qualities of a Christian king, the fatherland, the curse of exterior property, the cursed impious in his property and his honour. The society of Jesus is a strictly male religious order whose clerics are known as 'Jesuits'. The Jesuits profess three vows of poverty, chastity and obedience along with their own forth vow, that of absolute obedience to the Pope. The order is characterised by their intellectualism as each member must study philosophy, science and theology, then gain a professorship before they can take holy orders. There is a final chapter providing the most notable materials in the text. In French.
