First edition. Rebound in handsome green cloth with a velvet spine. With illustrations by the author, including a frontispiece, twenty-eight monochrome plates and a folding map to the rear. Missing plate nine. A fascinating travelogue of India, written by C. W. Waddington during his time in Rajasthan. Featuring various regions such as Delhi, Udaipur, Bikaner and Dholpur.

Condition

Rebound in cloth, half velvet. Externally, very smart with a few handling marks to the boards. Hinges slightly strained but firm. Age-toning to the paste-downs and end papers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean with age-toning and spotting throughout. Missing plate nine.
