What Our Customers Say...

Description

First Edition, Illustrated, Limited Edition, Publishers' Original Binding

The first edition of this work. From the library of the 'Lodge of Harmony', Fareham. This lodge was first warranted in 1796 and is lodge no 309. The lodge of Harmony merged with moderns to become the United Grand Lodge of England. Limited edition, number 390 of 500 copies sold in aid of the Provincial Grand Master's 1994 Festival for the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution. Signed by the Provincial Grand Master of the Lodges of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, James Edward Bullen who wrote the foreword to this work. This work was compiled by F D Laugharne and to the preface notes that the Lodge has changed a lot since W L Finemore's history of the lodge published nearly sixty years earlier. A very smart copy of this history, which traces the tradition of Freemasonry in the jurisdiction of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
