In a contemporary cloth binding.
Inscriped from the author on the front endpapers 'To D. J. Calthrop Williams from his friend the author'. The recipient has written to the title page 'J.C Williams, given by the author, translated by his pupil and friend J.C.W'.
This is the first systematic work on homeopathy as Quin introduced homeopathy to England after settling in London in 1832. He founded the British Homeopathic society in 1844. This work was dedicated to the king of the Belgians.

Condition
In a contemporary cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Rubbing to the boards and to the spine. Evidence of plate removal to the front board. Small split to the spine, which has resulted in the binding being held by one cord only at the head. Small loss to the head of spine. Inscriptions to the recto of front endpaper and to the title page. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright. Interleaved manuscript remains bright. The occasional spot to pages.
