The first and only edition of this pamphlet.
Written during the Bourbon Restoration and is written as the country went under a Christian revival. The year 1817 saw the Concordat of 11 June which was between the kingdom of France and the Holy See, which never came into force. The country remained under the regime outlined in the Concordat of 1801 until the separation of Church and State in 1905.
Gaspard de Chabrol was a French official who was a Prefect of Paris and Member of Parliament.

Condition
Disbound. Externally, very smart. Several light spots to the half-title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Occasional light spots to the first and last few pages. Otherwise, just the odd spot.
