Following a career in the Indian Civil Service and as Home Secretary to the Government of India Lyall published a series of books on the country. This copy is a second volume addition to Lyall's earlier 'Asiatic Studies, Religious and Social' (in its first series). This second series contains several essays and dissertations chiefly on the subject of Asiatic religions, written by Lyall 'at different times in recent years'.

Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, smart with handling marks. Light bumping to spine. Internally, binding slightly strained but sound. Pages bright and clean and largely uncut to the upper extremity.
