    Complete in three volumes.

    In the original unclipped dustwrapper.

    An extensive history on the city of Southampton, looking in detail from 1700 to 1914.

    Volume I, 'An Oligarchy in Decline, 1700-1815', illustrated with three maps. Collated, complete.

    Volume II, 'The Beginnings of Modern Southampton, 1836-1867', illustrated with two maps. Collated, complete.

    Volume III, 'Setbacks and Recoveries, 1868-1914', illustrated with two maps. Collated, complete.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, smart. A little bumping to the head and tail of the spines and to the extremities. Dustwrappers with some minor edgewear and a few spots and handling marks. Dustwrapper for Volume I with evidence of tape being formerly adhered to the rear wrap. Small patches of tape adhered to the reverse of the dustwrappers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
