This work reflects on and explores the arts and crafts of the 'Indian Tribes' of British Columbia, Canada. Alice Ravenhill was one of the first authors to propound aboriginal rights in British Columbia. She took great interest in social issues. This work was originally published in 1938 and was intended to be an elementary school curriculum text.
Condition
In original paper wraps. Rebacked with cloth to support binding. Externally, generally smart with loss to the head and tail of spine. Some fading to wraps. Marks to rear wrap from adhesive tape, same to the front at the joints. Minor chipping and bumping to the extremities. Prior owner's inscription to the verso of front wrap. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with the odd spot throughout.
