What Our Customers Say...

Description

Leather Binding, Very Scarce

The fifth edition of the work. Very scarce in any edition. Miniature edition. Samuel Maunder was a prolific writer of dictionaries, chiefly written for educational purposes. This particular work contains additions taken from his most well-known work The Treasury of Knowledge and is a fascinating example of a mid nineteenth century dictionary.

Condition

In a full morocco binding. Externally generally smart with rubbing to the extremities, causing slight loss to the leather at the head and tail of the spine. The odd mark to the board. Hinges are strained but firm. Lacking front free endpaper, with title page and first two leaves attached by one cord only. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with just the odd spot.
