The first edition of this work. Maurice Zinkin was an administrator in India during the British Empire. He endured much in India, after entering the Indian Civil Service in 1938, including suffering from malaria during his time in India. With previous owner's bookplate to front pastedown, initialled D.M.

Condition

In a cloth binding with original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light fading to spine. Dustwrapper has minimal chipping and is printed on both sides. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
