An uncommon collection of prints.
In an excellent condition, these prints are believed to be from Maurice Sendak's limited edition work 'Pictures by Maurice Sendak'.
Sendak is best known for 'Where the Wild Things Are' and is regarded as being one of the first children's authors to deal frankly with the fears and anxieties of childhood. He has been referred to as 'the Picasso of Children's Books' and his pictures are represented in major collections worldwide.
Comprising of prints from:
Hector Protector x 1; Lullabies and Night Songs x 3; A Kiss for Little Bear x 2; Higglety Pigglety Pop! x2; Zlateh the Goat x1; Mr Rabbit and the Lovely Present x 1; In the Night Kitchen x 3.
There are two plates of 'Sleep Sleep Beauty Bright' from 'Lullabies and Night Songs.
Condition
All the plates are loose. In an excellent condition with just some minor shelfwear to the edges. Otherwise, very bright and crisp.
