Finnish. Very scarce. Illustrated with four full colour pop-up scenes. Collated complete and in perfect working condition. The classic children's tale of Sleeping Beauty, who was cursed by a witch to die on her sixteenth birthday. However, a fairy alters the curse, allowing the princess to survive by going into a deep sleep that can only be broken by true love's kiss. Dated from the ink inscription.
Condition
In the original quarter cloth binding with pictorial paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot or handling mark. All folding features are in perfect working condition.
