A very scarce circus book in trapezoid shape, opening into a striking circular Big Top circus tent pop-up featuring six colourful scenes from the circus accompanied with rhymes. The circus tent can be secured in its fully circular position with a white ribbon to boards.
A beautiful book rarely seen on the market, pop-up illustrations are bright and fully working. Dated from a copy found online.
Condition
In the original publishers quarter cloth binding over illustrated boards. Externally sound with shelf wear, front and rear board worn and creased. Minor closed tear to extremities of the illustrations and top of circus tent, not affecting the pop-up workings. Pages bright and clean.
