The novel concerns two young men: Godfrey, Lord Biskerton ("Biscuit") and his friend John Beresford Conway ("Berry"), and their efforts to raise money to woo their respective girls.

Condition
In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent, with a touch of shelf wear to back strip tail. Light spotting to fore edge of text block. Small loss to tail of dust wrapper front wrap, with light chipping to back strip head and tail. Ten minor clear adhesive tape repairs to dust wrapper reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright, with only the odd spot.
