Description
Colour Plates, Early Edition, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce
A very scarce edition of Jolly Jump-Ups ABC in the original publisher's hardcover binding.
Published by Birn Brothers Ltd. in London and printed by Purnell and Sons Ltd in Paulton and London.
With colour illustrations by G. Higham and four pages of pop-ups in full working order with little to no wear.
Undated, dated c1950 due to the other works by the illustrator being published around this time, the activity of the publisher, and a copy found on WorldCat.
Condition
In the original publisher's hardcover binding. Externally, very smart. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities, resulting in some wear and slight loss to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot. The pop-ups are in full working order. The first pop-up has some light markings, but the rest are in very good condition.
