What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates, Illustrated, Publishers' Original Binding

A charming mid-twentieth-century collection of tales for children, including 'The King's Bedsocks', 'The Enchanted Horse', 'The Pipes of Pan', 'The Chinese Doll', and many more.

No. 4 from the 'Bookano Stories' series, edited by S. Louis Giraud.

The Bookano Stories began publication towards the end of the 1920s, and were the first 'automatic' books. Sixteen annuals were produced between 1929 and 1949, with the title stemming from merging the words 'book' and 'Meccano'.

Including three full-page illustrations in colour, five delightful illustrated pop-up models, and many black-and-white in-text illustrations.

Collated and complete.
