Undated, dated from Jisc c1934. The first edition was published in 1812 and contained eighty six stories, and by 1857 the collection had two hundred and ten unique tales. 

An attractive copy of the Grimm brothers' popular fairy tales, embellished by various coloured plates by Monro S. Orr. 

Including 'The Fisherman and His Wife,' 'Tom Thumb,' 'Snow-White and the Rose Bed,' 'Little Red-Cap,' 'Cinderella,' and many others. 

Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece and five charming coloured plates by Monro S. Orr.

Condition

In the original publisher's illustrated cloth binding. Externally excellent with only minor shelf wear and a minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and the extremities. internally, firmly bound. With a faint minor scattered spotting to the fore edge, affecting only the very occasional leaf, particularly the first and last few. Otherwise, the pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Illustrated with a coloured frontispiece and five charming coloured plates by Monro S. Orr.
