    The first edition of this copy, containing three of her previously published books: Flower Fairies of the Spring, of the Summer, and of the Autumn. 

    With the extremely rare dustwrapper, price clipped with price still visible 10/6 net.

    A lovely copy of this botanical work by Cecil M. Barker; her stories have been popular since their first appearance in 1923, enchanting both children and adults with her botanically accurate drawings, together with fairy images based on real children. A collection of poems dedicated to the individual Flower Fairy, with the illustrations appealing our inner sense of magic and wonder.

    Condition

    In the original publisher's cloth binding, with gilt to the front board and spine. Externally lovely with only minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Previous owner's inscription to the recto of the front free endpaper, dated 1951. The dustwrapper is price clipped, with pricing still present 10/6 net, and very smart with only minor shelfwear and minor closed tears. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Collating complete with seventy two colour plates by Cicely M Barker.
