Folding Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Rebound, Very Scarce

Eleven short works bound together by the Assay Office of Birmingham, the majority of which are translated into English.

Including an English translation of a Czechoslovakian law regarding content of precious metals established on the 16th December 1927. A translation of the Prague 'Government Decree of 28th December 1928, bringing into force the Assay Law', and a translation of the announcement of the Minister of Public Works regarding this law, dated December 29th.

Following these is tipped in a folding illustrated page containing Czechoslovakian hallmarks, and another similar page sourced from the Goldsmith's Journal, October 1928.

Following this are ten pages, in Czech, condemning these laws, also dated 1928.

Appearing next is an English translation of a 22nd June 1928 law regarding the Czechoslovak coinage system, an outline of Yugoslavian laws regarding precious metal purity dated 10th July 1928, and two decrees regarding this from the 'Official Gazette', dated December 6th 1929 and 4th February 1929.

The final work is an English translation of the 'Decision of the Minister of Industry and Commerce, 18th May 1929', Romania.

Bearing a number of small ink stamps from the Assay Office of Birmingham throughout.

Condition

In a half calf library binding. Rubbing to front and rear joint, resulting in small areas of loss to leather. Library stamp to rear pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally clean, with the odd pencil mark or library stamp.
