The first edition of this work, dated from Jisc and identified through the lack of edition remarks to the title page. A wonderful volume dedicated to motors, with chapters on engines, military motors, family and touring cars, villages and village greens, motor cycling and more. Including Major C Court Treatt's account of his motoring journey through Africa, from Cape Town to Cairo. Edited by Harry Golding.
Illustrated with numerous mono-tone plates in test, as well as ten full page plates in colour, of which two are folding. Collated, complete.
Condition
In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding with coloured illustration tot he front board and gilt to the rear board and pictorial endpapers. Externally smart with minor shelf wear and minor chipping and bumping to the extremities of the boards. A minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are generally bright and clean with only the odd minor spotting affecting the occasional page. Illustrated with numerous mono-tone plates in test, as well as ten full page plates in colour, of which two are folding. Collated, complete.
