What Our Customers Say...
Colour Plates, Illustrated, Leather Binding, Scarce
French language. Volume one only. Illustrated with frontispiece, four colour plates, and many in-text and full-page images. Collated complete. A collection of ten of the thirty ribald short stories of playful and parodic writing which caused great scandal at the time and was banned in many countries. This work includes tales of many historical figures, with fantastical plots, forged words, and many puns. Written by Honore de Balzac, a French novelist and playwright. Illustrated by Albert Robida, a French illustrator, etcher, caricaturist, and novelist.
