Illustrated, Original Binding, Publishers' Original Binding, Very Scarce

An extremely scarce edition of this work, in the original paper wraps.

With a note to the front paste down saying "This book is written in 1915. No Revisions or Additions made since, with the exception of the back cover.".

This is the third and hitherto unrecorded edition. With an advertisement from McCloskey on the inside rear wrapper, thanking his wife.

This interesting work is written by former boxer, Ellwood McCloskey, who lost his sight at the age of thirty-two. McCloskey details different aspects of his life, including his hardest fight and fighting with a broken hand.

With boxing photographs throughout, presenting different boxing stances and moves, such as 'Ducking', 'Foul Blew' and 'Fighting in a Clinch'. The photos were taken on 1st February 1916.

Condition

In the original paper wraps. Externally, very smart, with light edge wear and a touch of age toning. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with the occasional handling mark.
