What Our Customers Say...

Description

Colour Plates

In the publisher's original cloth binding. 40 plates including the frontispiece, some in colour. Collated complete. Mrs Steuart Erskine (1860-1948) was a travel writer and biographer. In this work she gives a history of the vanished cities of Arabia. Benton Fletcher (1866-1944) was known in particular for his paintings of Egypt, but he also produced many illustrations for travel books, such as the delightful scenes he provided for this volume.

Condition

In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally smart, with some bumping to the extremities, and to the head of the spine, which has a small loss to the cloth. Spine and upper extremities of the boards are slightly faded, and there is some staining to both boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with the odd spot and handling mark to the first few pages.
