Fifth edition of Verses for Children edited by Harry Holding in the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper.
Illustrated with forty eight colour plates by Margaret W. Tarrant. Collated, complete. The dust wrapper for this work is very scarce.
Margaret Tarrant was an English illustrator, best known for 'The Water Babies' and 'Alice in Wonderland'.

Condition
In the original publisher's cloth binding and unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. The dust wrapper has some wear to the extremities and some small tears. To the binding, there is some minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. There is some light spotting to the fore edge. Internally, firmly bound. The pages are bright and clean with the occasional spot.
